The Bride Revealed - An Intimate Look Behind the Wedding Veil
by Leslie Barton and Sheri Leigh Myers
OUR REVIEW:
The skill depicted by expert photographer Leslie Barton with her behind-the-scenes pictures is remarkable.
The Bride Revealed - An Intimate Look Behind the Wedding Veil is smartly paired with candid quotes gathered from real brides-to be. Though the quotes, as narrated by screenwriter and activist Sheri Leigh Myers, are not meant to be matches, they pretty much sum up a beautiful mix of grace, humor, sexiness and emotion. A marvelous collaboration by Leslie Barton and Sheri Leigh Myers. The Bride Revealed would make an ideal gift for any bride-to-be.

The Wedding of Cathy and Irving
A Cathy Collection
by Cathy Guisewite
OUR REVIEW:
A Smorgasbord of Cathy comic strips celebrating the year that started with her surprised "ringbox find". The Wedding of Cathy and Irving - A Cathy Collection by Cathy Guisewite is pure "tickle your funny bone" material. This soft cover book makes for an especially nice gift to a bride-to-be, taking the edge off the upcoming stress of planning a wedding. Author Cathy Guisewite writes of humorous situations using her unique, creative and comical imagination.

Bridal Shower Memories | by Sandra Bark
OUR REVIEW:
Bridal Shower Memories is a quaint bridal journal/diary keepsake for the engaged gal. There is a charming story about the history of the bridal shower to start you off. Plenty of space to write down guests names and addresses, gifts and more. For years to come, you'll have fun reading words of advice from those attending. Bring this journal out again to share with your own grown children when they decide to wed.

Occasions, Style, and Manners | by Kate Spade | visit author's web site
OUR REVIEW:
This trio of lifestyle books by Kate Spade (the well-known handbag designer) will make for some interesting conversation. You may or may not like her interpretations of entertaining, style temperaments, or manners. Her convictions seem to point into the direction of being snobbish. Many of us would love to know more about how to entertain with ease, possess a great sense of style or to be concerned with proper decorum, I'm just not sure Occasions (red book), Style (green book), and Manners (blue book) by Kate Spade should have the power to influence readers. With those statements having been made, the emphasis for writing these lifestyle books should be that they were designed to be helpful and for use as a guide. She has a sassy writing style combined with bits of trivia nonsense (for example, if you ever need to know how to say a drinking cheer in Zulu, it's in Occasions). All the water color illustrations are nice to look at, but the reading print is too small.

Wedding Anniversaries | by Cookie Lee
OUR REVIEW:
Wedding Anniversaries from Paper to Diamond is an exploration into the symbols that mark each year of marriage - both the traditional gift as well as the modern anniversary list. There is also an old english rhyme of the meaning of the months of marriage.

Each anniversary symbol is depicted with gorgeous full-color photographs and is accompanied with love poetry and prose.

The books makes the perfect gift for the newlywed, the forever romantic, or for an anniversary.

Bridal Bouquets | by Jane Durbridge
OUR REVIEW:
Bridal Bouquets is a beautifully photographed source book of ideas and styles that are guaranteed to help you pick the flowers that are just perfect for your wedding. You can also see which flowers will be in season at the time of your wedding.

There are three main parts to this book:
No. 1 - Choosing your Flowers: Types of Wedding Themes, Working with Color, Working with the Seasons and Florist.
No. 2 - Flowers are organized by color themes - making it very easy to find what you are looking for. The hard part will be making the decision once you see how many choices you have.
No. 3 - The Secret of Successful Color Combinations to create romantic, jeweled, or dramatic effects.

This book is a definite must have when deciding on your wedding flowers and when you meet with your potential florists.

Going Bridal | by Li Robbins
OUR REVIEW:
Going Bridal - How to Get Married Without Losing Your Mind is a rambo-like approach at keeping prospective brides sane. Very different. Not your average guide on how to get everything done. Mixing fiction with non-fiction, the author tries hard to be funny, with some success, but with so much text in parenthesis, you can get confused deciphering her wit. Once you get the hang of her style it goes pretty well – saving this reviewer from "going nuts".
